the new spring of the mecahical industry

Experience enhanced 3D printing with the (Mecanics) app 3D printing is a popular activity amongst weekend hobbyists, would-be entrepreneurs and budding makers. One of the latest and most effective apps to be launched for this particular purpose is the (Mecanics) programs, it allows users to design and print triple dimensional objects straight from their PCs. The creators also suggest that once you’ve made a successful printout, tag their name somewhere on the final product for publicity purposes.
we also see that thingiverse has become a perfect place for app developer to markeding new solutions

How to go about the mechanical designing process

When making a 3D print there are certain things that one needs to keep in mind so that their work can be worth it. Some of these tips include:

a) Always maintain a wall-thickness level of at least 1mm

b) Keep a clearance range of 0.6mm

c) Accuracy is to be 0.1mm and the constituent parts must also have a deviation ratio of 0.2mm

Material properties

The (Mecanics) 3D system makes use of a strong & flexible material known as Selective Laser Sintering, also abbreviated as SLS. Even so, the quantity to be used would solely depend on how complex your printing project is. During construction, layer-by-layer of fine powder is spread onto the surface and a laser used to harden the different parts together. Your model would then be taken out of the powder block for shaping. With SLS, there’s absolutely no need to print out a distinct supportive material for your 3D since the solidified powder material gives support in itself.

Due to this phenomenal, the overall wall thickness of objects printed with this program are considerably thinner than in other designs. This however doesn't affect the overall robustness of your final product.

It’s widely believed that SLS is the most particular 3D printing procedure, the process contains a layer thickness value of 0.1mm. Exactly the same ratio of thickness by which new layers of material are added onto each consecutive part. In all conceivable directions therefore, the accuracy level of 3D prints should be approximately 0.1mm. So that the surface exposed to laser beams can have a higher accuracy ratio.

Clearance

This refers to the distance between an opening its frame once the entrance is shut, if you construct a 3D peg of 3mm diameter then the hole must also have a similar diameter of 3mm so that they can fit together. There must be some form of clearance present for the product to work. Nevertheless, the amount of clearance needed would totally depend on functionality status of the part in question. Those with higher clearances shall fit even better than the lose ones.

A balance must be established at all times between clearance & efficiency, remember that minimum clearance in all occasions 0.6mm and people are advised not to go below this figure or else their building blocks may fuse. The reason why SLS by (Mecanics) 3D is so accurate lies primarily on the layered construction design. If a construction hole is laid vertically then it shall naturally have more layers around the diameter hole, in such cases it may not be as round as is required and this can pose a problem during construction. It’s advisable to use larger holes of 1mm and above since they are more precise than their smaller counterparts.
